I graduated from Bastyr University as a Naturopathic physician in
1983. I started out practicing in a small community on the Olympic
Peninsula of Washington State where I also worked as the
coordinator of a program called SafeHome to provide services for
persons experiencing domestic violence and victims of sexual
assault. After a brief stint in Connecticut, I moved to Anchorage,
Alaska where I enjoyed a warm relationship with numerous
conventional and alternative medical providers for 17 years. I
wrote numerous articles and made a number of presentations for
professional groups and the general public.
In 2007 I made the leap a bit further north to Fairbanks. At the Holistic Medical Clinic I treat patients with a full range of naturopathic therapies including diet/lifestyle counseling, botanical and homeopathic remedies. My expertise is in treating persons with chronic illness such as blood sugar problems, heart disease, digestive illness and environmental illness.
I continue to write articles on current health related articles on my blog: www.docmary.net/blog
